Hawaiʻi Painters and Allied Trades Union Endorses Makana Paris for OHA At-Large
HONOLULU — With the need for leaders to be accessible and willing to fight for the rights of the people, the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 50 endorsed Makana Paris for the OHA At-Large seat.
“We recognized Makana’s strong support of labor and construction,” said Ryden “Bully” Valmoja, District Council 50 Business Manager, Secretary-Treasurer. “He understands labor because he comes from a labor family.”
This is the second major union endorsement for candidate Makana Paris, as he continues to expand his relationships with labor and foster a spirit of collaboration.
“I am humbled to accept the endorsement of District Council 50,” Makana Paris said. “I look forward to working with District Council 50 to create better housing and healthcare for our communities”.
